[Ed. Note: This list is part of Play's roundup of the best of '09. Check here to read more of our picks. We actually received Seth's list back in December, but it got buried and lost in our in box - sorry dude.]

1. "Scott Pilgrim vs. The Universe" - Bryan Lee O'Malley
The fifth installment in the endlessly entertaining Scott Pilgrim comic series is “The Empire Strikes Back” of the saga. Check out this book, if only to brag that you were into Scott Pilgrim before the Edgar Wright adaptation starring Michael Cera hits theaters this Spring.
2. "Community" - NBC, Thursdays
Easily the best new show on television this year, NBC's Community is a single-camera sitcom written, shot and paced so tightly, multiple viewings are necessary to catch all the gags in each episode. A must-see.
3. "The Brothers Bloom" - Rian Johnson
The con film hasn't gotten a serious treatment in a good while, but Rian Johnson sure does it up right, albeit a tad unorthodox. Beyond a unique twist on the con story, Johnson's stylish directing steals the show as often as Ruffalo, whose performance is easily the best of his career.
4. "The Venture Bros." Season 4 - Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, Sundays
One of the funniest programs on television, The Venture Bros. combines elaborate parody of ‘60s cartoons like Jonny Quest with extensive pop culture references in what has become one of the most creative half-hours you'll ever see. Where else can you watch David Bowie shape shift into a pack of cigarettes to ambush Iggy Pop?
5. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Playstation 3, Naughty Dog Studios
The year's best video game, Uncharted 2 tells a story better than any game in history. With pitch-perfect dialog and voice acting and a pulpy Indiana Jones storyline, there isn't a better gaming experience on any console.
