Delmag’s Erik Braund is in the studio mastering the group’s new EP and sent me this update via e-mail:

"Delmag is releasing a new EP, our second this year, this coming Halloween. The three-song disc is called the 'Small Town Something' EP and features all new songs. It is the follow-up to June's 'Hole in the Sky' EP - whose title track has been in regular rotation on KWHL.

"We delve into new territory on this one, sprinkling a touch of Nirvana and My Bloody Valentine on the Delmag you know and love.

"It's being recorded at the Clive Davis Dept. of Recorded Music's recording studios at NYU (where I am a student) and at my apartment here. I am recording, mixing and producing it.

"We're playing two nights at Koots, Thursday Oct. 29 and Friday Oct. 30. We're also opening for 36CF at the Egan Center on Halloween.

"Mike Gorder and I both live in NYC. Since our drummer Eric Kross is in Alaska, I have taken over the drumming duties on this EP (and the last)."

You can purchase “Hole in the Sky” and 2005’s “Finishing Fall” on iTunes.
