Creek in Dutch Harbor

As kids(9 and 10 yrs), my brother and I were able to snag humpies and silvers in the creek by the Church in Dutch Harbor. I dont know if this is still legal for the kids, but if it is, I hope that kids are still allowed to catch fish there. It is one of my fondest memories of snagging about 25 salmon and not being strong enough to carry them all so we had to drag them back to the boat. We didn't know the difference between a spawned out humpie and a nice bright silver! ha ha ha. Another place I enjoyed fishing was in Akutan. The creek at the end of the bay is a salmon creek. We caught some humpies and occasionally a silver. I think Snake's gillnet caught the most. Also using a rusty old eagle claw spinning lure for trout to catch pollock under the "TNT Barge". What fun! I will cherish those moments. I pray that the kids will have those same exciting experiences.
