Like most all the streams in southcentral, Alaska the Anchor is no different just too many people trying to fish in one very small hole of water.
Crossed lines, tangled messes, cutting fish hooks out of your ear lost tackle, broke poles, lost fish, Oh there goes my reel, or a pure knock down drag out right on the shore is this what they refer to a (Combat Fishing)?
No Thanks I allready had some of that don't care to experience any more.
Its sick!

SO (2) WEEKS TILL KING SEASON, IS SOMEONE GOING TO POST ANYTHING THIS YEAR. JUST WAITING. WHEN I
WAS KID IN THE EARLY 60'S SPENT SUMMERS THERE.
FISHING WAS GREAT. WAS THERE LAST FALL & RIVER HAD CHANGE QUITE A BIT BUT WAS STILL FISHABLE.
Went and checked out the Anchor on the wed opener. High, fast and dirty. Only a half dozen hardy souls fishing and no catching. Only 138 kings past the sonar as of the 20th. Going to be a few days till its worth a shot
