We had hoped we would meet you when everyone returned home to Alaska. My son, Spc Greg Van Dyke, served with you. He said we lost a great guy and he had lost a great friend. Thank you for your service and may you rest in peace. God bless you and your family. Stacie Burgin

Thank you for the kind words. It has meant the most to us to hear from Jason's friends. The loss is unbearable. The only thing that makes it bearable, is that Jason had truly found a passion in the Army, challenges not withstanding. He was excited about his future in the Army, and looked forward to flying lessons.
We are still planning on making the trip to Anchorage and hope we can connect to as many of his friends as possible, parents included. Please feel free to contact us at imtheirtexanmom@yahoo.com

Dear Jason.
Hey sug. I have the best memories of you. I will never forget your kindness or compassion. You were a true brother to my husband, he was very lucky to serve with you. I miss you tremendously and you are always in my thoughts. Love you and you will never be forgotten.
