Farewell Specialist Adam Herold

Your life barely started in the US Army and already you paid the ultimate price. You forefitted your life for a cause many think irrelevant but, you thought otherwise and how right you were.I am grateful to you, for your unselfish act and for thinking of others. May your soul blessed by our Lord be refreshed and enjoy eternity in paradise.

Adam Herold

Spc. Adam Herold's service and sacrifice will not be forgotten. He has earned a place of honor in minds of all Americans and in our nation's history. Though I did not know him personally, I grieve with his family and friends, as I continue to grieve for my son also deployed out of Ft. Richardson, Corporal Matthew T. Bolar. He was killed on May 3rd, 2007. God be with all who serve and with all who have fallen in this war.

to Adam's family

I just wanted to say I'm sorry to Adam's family for the loss of their wonderful son and brother. I met him a little over a year ago while he was up in Anchorage. While I only knew him briefly I found him to be a very, very sweet and caring man. I always had fun with him and even though we lost touch, my memories of him always bring a smile to my face. I just wanted you to know my friends and I thought he was a wonderful man and he will be missed.
