Words are not enough
Joe was there for my children while my husband was in Iraq with the 423 Stryker Brigade. He was like one of the kids running around throwing water balloons and shooting air soft guns. My son used to knock on his door and ask Miss Missie can Mr. Joe come out and play. Joe stood in my back yard cutting up wood to roast marshmellows over the fire, there was a knot in the wood that was giving him a hard time. My youngest kept saying "my mom can go buy wood if it is to hard for you to split that." Joe refused to buy wood he needed to conquer this wood. Joe was willing to help anyone who needed it. His wife is one of my best friends so we not only lost a great soldier but I lost the friend who lived around the corner from me as she moved home. I will always have her to talk to but she will not be right around the corner. My children lost a father figure who was willing to do anything to make them smile. God bless your family Joe and just know we will never forget you or let your family down.
