True Heroes are never forgotten
Joey, It's been almost a year since you have been gone... but your memories have stuck with me stronger then ever. I still miss you more then anyone would care to know.
I praise God everyday that you died a hero because I know you wouldn't have it any other way. You will forever be remembered because of the selfless acts that you did for your country. I thank God for men like you that put their life on the line everyday to keep us free.
My heart aches everday, knowing that you are not with us anymore but on the outside I smile because I'm jealous you made it to Heaven before me
I am so proud of you! And I can't wait to see you again! SAVE A SPOT FOR ME IN HEAVEN! Because you can guarantee I will be there someday! I love you!

What a way to celebrate a birthday!
The Lord gave you to us on March 18th, 1985. Now forevermore, you will have this earthly birhtday celebrated because of your spiritual birhtday in Christ. I cannot think of a more splendid place to be. No more war, no more tears, no more pain, and no more fears!
Love,
Aunt Andi and Rachel, Caleb, Hannah, Nathan, Lydia, Joshua, Aaron, Uncle Kevin and Uncle Glen.
We Miss you down here, but are looking forward to a heavenly reunion one day!

my nephew
Yes, Joey was a fine young man. His family is extremely grateful for all the friends and buddies from the Army that have called with their thoughts. We are also very grateful to the Army for all their help in going through the grieving process. Our casualties officer has been here everyday, and he really does care about us. It is not just a job to him.
