In an effort to turn around negative teenage stereotypes, youth from Homer High School have created Colors of Homer, a group that is working to build positive, creative outlets for their peers. The group invites students and community members to support one another artistically through coffee shop-style talent shows.
The group was formed last November and their February event was a huge success with about 150 audience members.
They are planning another event in November.
