I received the below email today from a Dog Blog reader who's looking for advice from anyone who's been through rehab with a dog after surgery. Below is her note. Can anyone help her out with advice?

"I have a 7 year old, 68 pound, female lab who has blown her ACL and is scheduled for have TPLO surgery on her knee in the coming weeks. Of course I will follow the vets instructions to a T and I have been talking to those with experience but I am interested to know from other readers any tips or things to think about in advance of the surgery to prepare for her after care. She has a warm room with no furniture but plenty of dense padding for post surgery. Any wisdom is appreciated. Thanks everyone."

From my experience, I think she's on the right track. She said she's already planning physical therapy at Veterinary Specialists of Alaska.

Any advice?
