Lifelong Alaskan Sam "The Hebrew Hope" Dunham got his start in martial arts at the age of 5, taking karate lessons.

He rediscovered martial arts in college, enrolling in UAA's tae kwon do class, in which he now holds a black belt.

Eventually he sought to better round out his skill set and has been training MMA at Greatland Martial Arts since.

He has won matches at the Alaska Fighting Championship and also at Thursday Night at the Fights. He teaches kids at Tae Kwon Do USA, and makes his living as a substitute teacher for the Anchorage School District.

He can probably beat you up, but luckily he doesn't want to.

'Naptime' Wins in TUF; Makes Surprise Appearance at Viewing Party!

The Ultimate Fighter 16 Cast: Herron-Webb is the one who appears to be glowing in the dark. The Ultimate Fighter 16 Cast: Herron-Webb is the one who appears to be glowing in the dark.

AFC welterweight champion 'Naptime' Nic Herron-Webb is officially in the house!

On tonight's premier episode of The Ultimate Fighter, Herron-Webb submitted Bellator veteran Tim Ruberg with an tenacious armbar. UFC president Dana White later pointed it out, among others, as the type of display he looks for from contestants. At the end of the episode 'Naptime' was placed on Roy Nelson's team. The victory earned Herron-Webb, the youngest competitor on the show this season, a place in the TUF house, and moved him one step closer to winning the competition and the six-figure UFC contract.

Herron-Webb also surprised a viewing party of the show. The party, being thrown at Platinum Jaxx by Herron-Webb's father, Rick Herron, was packed with dozens of fans and fighting faithful decked out in #teamnaptime t-shirts, who went nuts when he strolled into the room. The champ made an effort to thank each attendee personally, circuiting the room and shaking hands, as well as signing autographs.

Of course, he's not allowed to talk about what happened on the now-wrapped show until the episodes aired. However, he was able to tell me he had fun, missed his son, and was eager to get into the gym and show off what he learned on the show.

The Ultimate Fighter airs on Fridays (5:00 PM DirecTV, 8:00 PM GCI cable) on FX.
