Is your dog a "talker?" How vocal is your dog -- and by vocal I mean any sounds, from barking to howling to roo-rooing, etc. Bonus points for anyone who checks out the Dogster site below and lets us know what "type" of talker you have.

I ask because Dogster just dogged Yorkies! On the website's list of 10 Most Talkative Dog Breeds, Yorkies ranked No. 1!

At first, I was a little offended -- figuring it was just perpetuating the "yappy" dog image that little dogs have. But I have to admit there's a lot of auditory communicating that goes on in our house.

According to Dogster, I have a "Brave Heart" in Eddie -- a dog that believes it can take on anything. While he's fine off-leash when confronting other dogs, he barks up a storm when one walks in front of the house. And his barking isn't limited to other dogs. He especially tries to intimidate moose, and just today he barked up a storm when a landscaper crossed the street carrying a weed cutter that looked a little like a dog on a leash.

Jillie, on the other hand, is an "Attention Grabber." Knowing that she can get the other dogs in the house to join in, she often goes outside and lets out a couple barks for no reason at all. That gets Lucy going, and Eddie will follow shortly thereafter, thinking there's something good to bark out in the yard.

Lucy is more of a "Complainer." When it's walk time and I'm not responsive, she'll let me know with a woof. She'll also voice her opinion if the other dogs have a toy that she wants.
