The Alliance board nominations & elections committee is seeking members to serve on the Alliance board of directors. There are four, three-year terms available in the FY 2013 elections. Election results will be announced at the annual meeting on Thursday, October 4th, 2012. Newly elected members will begin serving their term October 4th, 2012.

Alliance directors are leaders in the oil, gas and mineral resource industries. They are focused on improving the business climate for contractors by communicating with legislators and the administration in Juneau, serving on committees and participating in and supporting Alliance events throughout the year. These events are prime networking opportunities for all members of the Alliance.

Board members review industry issues, voice Alliance positions and develop strategies to improve and empower our organization. Directors may serve a maximum of two consecutive 3-year terms.

* Written statement of candidacy — Nominees must confirm their intent to run for a seat on the board. This may be provided in a letter format.

* Biography — A brief summary of employment, involvement in industry and/or business-related organizations and other pertinent information.

* Photograph — Electronic headshot preferred.

NOMINATIONS MUST REACH THE ALLIANCE OFFICE BY TUESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2012
