RurAL CAP hires development director

RurAL CAP_KazaryRurAL CAP_KazaryAnchorage – August 7, 2012 - The Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc. names Ellen Kazary as the new Development Director.

As Director, Kazary will oversee the agency’s fund development efforts. During the past 10 years, she has been employed in RurAL CAP’s Community Development Division developing and managing energy and environmental programs in rural Alaska and subsistence advocacy.

Prior to that, she was an educator and policy program manager. Kazary attended Oberlin College in Ohio where she received her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies.

RurAL CAP, founded in 1965, is a private, non-profit organization working to improve the quality of life for low-income Alaskans.
