Couple Quick Notes (Langkow, McBride)

Former Alaska Aces center Chris Langkow has signed with ECHL Reading -- he was the "future considerations'' in last season's deal that sent center Ethan Cox to Reading in exchange for forward Ryan Cruthers.

Cruthers has already signed with the expansion Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL.

Langkow helped the Aces to the 2011 Kelly Cup as a rookie and was ticketed for Alaska last season before former Aces bench boss Brent Thompson picked him up for AHL Bridgeport. Langkow got off to a strong start in the AHL, then suffered a concussion that cost him several months and basically turned 2011-12 into a lost season. Good luck to him in getting back on track.

Also, former Aces center Brock McBride, who last season played abroad in the Great Britain-based EIHL and in Austria, has signed for the upcoming season with the Vienna Capitals in Austria.
