Business People announces the hire or promotion of employees to senior or mid-level professional or supervisory positions. Positions must be full-time and paid. Significant specialized training or professional certification is also announced.

Griffin takes reins as bank’s chief information officer

FNBA_GriffinFNBA_GriffinPhil Griffin was recently appointed First National Bank Alaska’s chief information officer by the bank’s board of directors.

Griffin is responsible for the bank’s information technology strategic planning and security, core and item processing systems, network services, software solutions and support, online banking and business continuity planning.

Griffin’s banking career began four decades ago after graduating from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He arrived in Alaska after holding CIO positions in California and Nevada.
