Business People announces the hire or promotion of employees to senior or mid-level professional or supervisory positions. Positions must be full-time and paid. Significant specialized training or professional certification is also announced.

Blakeslee named communications manager of NEA-Alaska

BlakesleeBlakesleeNEA-Alaska has announced Lori Blakeslee as its communications manager. Blakeslee is responsible for directing the statewide operation of NEA-Alaska’s communications and public relations center.

Previously, Blakeslee served as the assistant executive director/communications specialist for the Green Bay Education Association, Green Bay, Wis. Blakeslee also served as the president of the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association from 2009-2011. She has authored many articles for the Wisconsin School Board Association’s publication, School News, and was recently published in the Association of School Business Officials International publication, School Business Affairs.

Blakeslee is a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, Wis. She received her B.A. from St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wis. Blakeslee currently lives in Chugiak with her family.
