"Snow Child" signing today

Eowyn Ivey: Photo: Steve NowersEowyn Ivey: Photo: Steve NowersEowyn Ivey, Mat-Su author of "THE SNOW CHILD," a retelling of a Russian folk town in the form of a novel, will sign copies of her book from 6-8 p.m. today at Barnes & Noble, Between Benson and Northern Lights Blvds. on A St.

Already on its sixth printing, "Snow Child" has been a sensation on Europe and is doing well in the U.S. Earlier this month it returned to the Pacific Northwest Independent Booksellers top 10 list. That a book would go on the bestseller list, then off, then back on again suggests that word of mouth is what's driving sales; people read it and enthuse about it to their friends. In other words, a publisher's dream.
