Dog Blog

The Dog Blog is a community of ordinary dog lovers who have come together to discuss our extraordinary dogs. Each Monday, a new topic is introduced. If you've got an opinion, share it. If not, look for the current "anything goes" topic and introduce a discussion of your own. On Fridays, weigh in about your training questions and successes.

AACCC Adoption of the Week: Meet Jasmine

Here's Anchorage Animal Care and Control's Adoption of the Week, courtesy of Brooke Taylor, AACCC public relations coordinator.

Here is Jasmine, a 2.5 year old, spayed female, Lab/Greyhound mix. This young girl is very energetic, focused, attentive, friendly and curious. She’s intelligent, responsive, and really wants to please --knows lots of commands. She’s lived with kids, cats and other dogs and did well (but will chase small animals). Plays well with the other canines here at the shelter. Good-natured, enjoys chew toys, playing ball, and exploring on walks. Rides fine in the car and has been to the dog park, too. She would love a home that can provide plenty of exercise, attention and things to do. Jasmine can be adopted for $57, as she is already spayed, which includes her MOA license, vaccinations, and microchip. Call 343-8122 for more information.

Adoption update: Thunder and Baxter have both been adopted!
