Chamber calls for Gold Pan Awards nominations

Nomination forms available in five categories

ANCHORAGE - Until June 22, the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce will be accepting nominations for the 55th annual Gold Pan Awards. The Gold Pan Awards, one of Anchorage's longest-standing business honors, are given to individuals, organizations and businesses for their commitment to business and entrepreneurial excellence, as well as community service.

This year, nominations are being accepted for the following categories:

  • Distinguished Community Service by an Individual, Small Business or Organization (under 30 employees)
  • Distinguished Community Service by a Large Business or Organization (more than 30)
  • Business Excellence
  • Entrepreneurial Excellence (Individual)
  • Anchorage Chamber Volunteer of the Year Award (Individual)

Go online and nominate a business, organization, or individual for any of the five award categories listed above before the June 22, 2012 deadline.

No more than three finalists will be selected in each category with the winners announced at the annual awards event, held Friday, Sept. 14, at the Dena'ina Center. This year's event theme is again "Casino Royale" and will feature blackjack tables, live music, delicious food, cocktails and door prizes.
