REE_EvansAnchorage – May 14, 2012 - Jason Evans was hired as Chief Executive Officer for Rural Energy Enterprises. Evans will oversee the operations and financial management of the company. He recently served as the president and CEO of Financial Alaska, a business consulting firm. Evans has over 15 years of experience working for Alaska Native Corporations and Alaska business owners. Evans holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Alaska Pacific University.

Rural Energy Enterprises (R.E.E.), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc., is a wholesale distributor of energy-efficient and money-saving products such as the Toyostove space heater. R.E.E. began in 1987 as a result of receiving a federal grant to evaluate the feasibility of engaging in energy-related for-profit activity.
