Tempe, Ariz. — Institute for Supply Management™ honored NAPM—Alaska, Inc. as 2011 Affiliate of the Year at a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast during the 97th Annual International Supply Management Conference in Baltimore, Md. The awards recognize ISM affiliates that demonstrate an awareness and distinction in their professional operations, educational offerings and ability to recruit, train and retain members, while at the same time communicating the value and prestige of ISM and the supply management profession.
According to NAPM—Alaska, Inc. President Sonja Love-Hestnes, the combined contributions of an extremely dedicated board are key to the affiliate’s achievement. “The board members — the veteran members… and the new — all have the same goal in mind — to educate, develop and advance the purchasing and supply management profession in the Last Frontier,” Love-Hestnes said. “The board of directors strives to surpass past achievements and are continually trying to improve on what the affiliate has to offer all the members.”
