The Never Sets Film Festival made its debut last summer, and organizers are soliciting submissions for the festival’s second installment, set to take place Aug. 18 as part of The Institute of the North’s Week of the Arctic series. Last year screenings also took place in Juneau, Barrow and Bethel.

The theme for this year’s festival is “Stories From the North,” and Alaskan filmmakers can submit short films (up to 49 minutes) and screenplays (up to 49 pages) through June 15. Visit neversets.org for full submission guidelines.
