In August, the local production company Tri-Seven Pictures launched a successful Kickstarter fundraising campaign, meeting the goal of $10,000 in donations. That money was used to produce the second season of the web-based series “Alaska Filmmakers,” which features long-form interviews with members of Alaska’s film community.

The show’s first season, called Series 01, included 12 episodes that focused on Anchorage and Eagle River filmmakers. The 16 episodes in Series 02 expand the show's reach, as hosts Joshua Lowman, D.K. Johnston and Stephanie Wonchala interview Barrow filmmaker Andrew Maclean, whose “On the Ice” debuted in theaters last week; Steve Rychetnik, cinematographer and co-founder of production company Sprocketheads; UAF Film instructor Maya Salganek and others.

New episodes will be available to stream every Friday on alaskafilmmakers.com beginning March 2.
