UAA winger Tommy Grant, who recently completed his senior season by leading the Seawolves in goals and points, has signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League.
Connecticut is the farm team of the New York Rangers. Grant is not in the lineup today against visiting Bridgeport.
Grant, 24, racked 16 goals and 32 points for the Seawolves in 37 games, anchored their top line, played the point on the power play and killed penalties. Basically, he did everything, and he did it at high speed -- his skating is one of his best gifts.
In 134 career games, Grant earned 45-45--90 totals.
