Anchorage experimenters expect outcome to be better soil and, from year 2 to year 2,000 no additional fertilizer will be needed. No chemical fertilizer and not even natural soil amendments will be required.

Combined with this newly rediscovered ancient method of permanently fertile soil is the opportunity to use it in a new and inexpensive container allowing a garden to be grown anywhere. On your deck, along your paved driveway, on the roof of your shed, or even your house. Or on frozen tundra. Imagine growing potatoes on top of your chain link fence. Fun, fun, fun.

Pete Kinneen grew up in a family conscious of the magic of composting food scraps and yard waste for using in their organic gardens. He is the executive director of Environmental Recycling, Inc. the non-profit which operated the Pt. Woronzof Composting Facility for 15 successful years. He has joined a global discovery exploring the possibility of the one natural and inexpensive ingredient found to kick compost to the curb. Join in, the more the merrier.
