PBS has produced a six-hour documentary called "God in America" that will be shown in October on KAKM. The documentary is a co-production between the superlative programs "American Experience" and "Frontline." The first hour is about the history of religion at the nation's founding. Then there are two hours about how religion colored both sides of the Civil War, leaving lasting scars on liberal and conservative people of faith. The documentary wraps up with a look at religion after World War II, a period that has been marked by more religiosity than certainly between the World War I and II.
Tune in beginning at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11 and continuing until Wednesday, Oct. 13.
KSKA is going to do two segments on "God in Alaska," the first one airing Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. for the rebroadcast. The next one is Wednesday, Oct. 13 also at 2 p.m. for the live show and 7 p.m. for the rebroadcast.
