Anchorage D-Man Lovdahl Headed Back to Quad Cities

Former UAA defenseman Shane Lovdahl of Anchorage has signed to return to the Quad City Mallards.

Lovdahl, 26, played for the Mallards as a rookie last season, when they competed in the International Hockey League -- they're part of the Central Hockey League this season. The CHL absorbed many teams from the IHL.

Lovdahl last season earned 3-21--24 totals in 72 games for the Mallards. He's spending this summer playing in Australia, which sounds like a pretty sweet gig.
