Just to catch up, three more guys with Alaska connections -- including one who dates back to, well, way back in the day -- have figured out where they are playing this upcoming season.
Goaltender Kevin Regan, who was briefly with the Alaska Aces two seasons ago and split time last season between AHL Providence and ECHL Reading, is headed across the pond. He's off to Valpellice in Italy.
And check out this blast from the Aces' past -- former enforcer Wade Brookbank, who was with the Aces so long ago (1997-98, 1998-99) they were still the Anchorage Aces in the now-defunct West Coast Hockey League, has signed with AHL Rockford. Brookbank, 32, has played 127 NHL games, and played last season for AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Also, former UAF defenseman Steve Vanoosten, who played his rookie campaign as a pro last season with ECHL Stockton, has re-upped with the Thunder.
