I had to look twice to figure out why the pictures of "Raven's Radio Hour," now playing at Cyrano's, didn't quite match what I thought I saw at the performance that I saw earlier this month. It was the "Auntie Galena" character.
Auntie is a saucy, old, take-no-prisoners type - though she does take leftovers. I saw Princess Lucaj in the role. These pictures show director and co-author Ed Bourgeois in the role.

Bourgeois said the cast gets shuffled as needed from time to time. I actually played the role during the Fur Rondy 2009 run, (stepping in for the role’s originator—Allison Warden. It’s fun for me … shades of the Fly By Night!"
Bourgeois was a member of the satirical musical reviews - "Whale Fat Follies," "Springtime in Spenard," etc. -at the Fly By Night Club in Spenard for many years.
