Winger Hunter Bishop of Fairbanks has signed a two-year deal with the NHL's Montreal Canadiens, passing up his senior season at Ohio State.
Bishop, 22, is coming off a strong campaign for Ohio State, racking 15-12--27 totals in 33 games.
According to the Canadiens, Bishop, who began his college career at North Dakota before returning to juniors, will report to the Hamilton Bulldogs of American Hockey League on Monday.
