Repeat DUI offender arrested for sixth offense

A 35-year-old Anchorage man has been arrested on his sixth driving under the influence charge since 1995, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Justin C. Eaton was pulled over for speeding at Mile 111 of the Seward Highway on Monday afternoon and troopers say he had been drinking. He was arrested on a felony DUI charge, the fifth he has faced, according to troopers. Eaton has previously been convicted on four other felony DUIs, they said.

Eaton, whose driver’s license has already been revoked for life, was booked into the Anchorage jail with bail set at $40,000, troopers said. He was also cited for speeding and driving with expired registration, they said.

The vehicle, a 1998 Ford Explorer, was towed from the scene.
