UAA's Season Is On The Brink

After tonight's 4-1 loss at Wisconsin in Game 1 of the WCHA's first-round, best-of-3 series, UAA is one loss away from the end of its season.

The Seawolves, who didn't score until the final minute -- Craig Parkinson provided the goal -- surrendered another short-handed goal, the nation-leading 14th.

After being outshot 79-33 in a two-game sweep at the hands of the Badgers in November, they were barely outshot Friday, 29-28. And they killed all eight Badger power plays.

Still, they trailed 2-0 in the opening minute of the second period and 3-0 a little more than halfway through the game, so they weren't really that close to the Badgers deep into the game.

They better summon something Saturday, or it's time to pack their bags.
