When Tokyo Police Club (Greg Alsop - drums, Josh Hook - guitar, David Monks - vocals, bass and Graham Wright - keys/percussion) is finished at the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival in sunny Indio, Calif. they will be heading up to Fairbanks. Wait. Is that right?
Cody Rogers, assistant director of UAF’s Student Activities, said the band will be playing 8 p.m. Thursday, April 22 at UAF as part of the university’s Springfest. Tokyo Police club will be playing outside in a tent able to house 500-600 fans. Fairbanks experimental band Work will be opening, possibly along with an Anchorage band.
Tokyo Police Club is from Newmarket, Onterio Canada and their second LP, “Champ,” is tentatively slated to come out in May. For more info on the band visit:
