No shortage of twists and turns in the Alaska Aces' 5-4 shootout loss to the visiting Ontario Reign on Wednesday night.
The Aces trailed 3-1 entering the third period, roared back to take a 4-3 lead, gave up the tying goal late, survived a Ontario post-ringing shot in overtime and eventually fell in a shootout (Ontario won it 2-1).
Two points for Ontario, one point for Alaska.
And now all that separates fourth-place Alaska and Stockton (62 points) and last-place Utah (59 points) in the ECHL's eight-team National Conference is a mere three points.
