Here's Anchorage Animal Care and Control Center's Adoption of the Week, courtesy of Brooke Taylor, AACCC's public relations coordinator.

Here is Rex, a 3-year-old, neutered male, pit bull mix. He is friendly, happy, active and full of energy. He is easy to walk and handle, loves to explore, and will sit nicely for a treat. He enjoys playing and jumping in the snow, as his picture shows!  Rex was fantastic in Shelter Doggie Playgroup, doing wonderfully with dogs of different ages, sexes and breeds.  He is also an excellent student in Shelter Dog Training classes, earning straight A+s in two different classes.
Rex can be adopted for $72, as he is already neutered, which covers his MOA license, vaccinations, and microchip.

Adoption update: Blackie and Fetcher were adopted together. Sassafras and Kishka are still available.
