Daily News photographer Marc Lester gets the Little Dog Buddy Award today for this shot of Rondy musher Egil Ellis' dog Tony in the cab of his dog truck.

Here's what Lester had to say: Tony is one of two small dogs that ride in the cab of Egil Ellis' sprint mushing team rig. He hung out on the dash beneath a board the musher uses to organize bigger, faster animals before the start of racing Saturday. "They're my cheerleaders," Ellis said of the little dogs.

Bigger, faster, maybe. But, here at the Dog Blog, we know Tony is the brains behind the whole operation. ;)
