Monday seemed more like the weekend than a regular work day for the Legislature. The city's airport was fogged in and many lawmakers and state employees were stranded elsewhere.

The chairmen of the House and Senate Judiaciary committees both were stuck in Sitka much of the day and those committees' meetings were canceled. So was a hearing in the House Labor and Commerce Committee. And the full House didn't gavel in for a floor session.
