Playwright Judd Lear Silverman, who has traveled to Anchorage from New York City for the premiere of his new play, "Heart," will lead a two-part play writing workshop on Saturday, January 9 and Saturday, January 16, from 11am to 2 pm at Anchorage Community Theatre.
Designed for writers of all experience levels, the workshop will explore how to find workable dramatic ideas and will provide a “recipe” for exploring character and dialogue that is easy, creative and fun. The cost for the 6 hour workshop is only $30 -- and only $15 for students! Call ACT at 868-4913 or email us at acthome@gci.net to reserve your spot.
Silverman is also the author of a children's book, "Eddie has Allergies," and will have a book signing at the Borders book store at 1100 E. Dimond this Saturday from 4 to 8 PM.
"Heart" opens on Jan. 8 and runs two weekends at Alaska Wild Berry Theatre, across from the Sourdough Mining Company on Juneau Street, off International east of the Old Seward Highway.
