While based in Anchorage, we've ventured to India, Peru, Bali, Morocco, Burma, Tunisia Singapore and Ecuador. I love ferreting out places off the beaten path. And when things don't go quite as planned, that's just part of the adventure.

In conjunction with Google's free offer of WIFI service at 47 airports and on Virgin Air this holiday season, the company is sponsoring a photo contest.

Between now and Dec. 16 you can upload photos that will be entered into Google's contest to win free rountrip tickets on Virgin America and/or a Canon digital camera.

And while you're at it, why not make it a twofer and upload your travel related photos into ADN's Readers' Vacation Photo Gallery.

The prize? Your photo may be featured on ADN's homepage.

Don't know if you have noticed, but recent downloads are featured on ADN's homepage under the heading “Recent reader submissions” in the Readers' submitted vacations box. It's a great way to show friends, relatives and other readers your travel shots.
