Dog Blog

The Dog Blog is a community of ordinary dog lovers who have come together to discuss our extraordinary dogs. Each Monday, a new topic is introduced. If you've got an opinion, share it. If not, look for the current "anything goes" topic and introduce a discussion of your own. On Fridays, weigh in about your training questions and successes.
Your host: Mike Lewis is a little-dog nerd and the proud owner of Eddie and Jillian, a pair of Yorkies who think they're huskies, and Lucy, a sweet Chessie. R.I.P., Rusty. Contact mlewis@adn.com

Dog Blogger dogs are cover boys in calendar :)

Cover boys Jack and ChipCover boys Jack and Chip

Woohoo, Chip and Jack made the cover of the Alaska Dog News 2010 calendar.

Readers were asked to vote on pictures that were featured in the monthly publication, and I'm told that one came up No. 1. Did I say "Woohoo!" yet? Amazing, really, because the inside photos are incredible.

Chip, as Dog Bloggers know, is a champion Samoyed owned by Jenifer and Gary Arnold. Jack, RIP, was a Yorkie rescue with the heart of a champion.

Definitely check it out. Not only are the pictures awesome but a portion of the proceeds benefit Alaska rescue groups.

Nice job, Linda.
