300 Trick-or-Treaters

Halloween is always fun at our hosue, but it is a very busy evening. I hit Costco this afternoon, bought 6 big bags and boxes of candy, spent about -- well I really don't want to admit exactly how much money I spent on candy -- and had about 300 kids come calling at the house. Lady bugs, bats, dragons, bums, fairys, aliens, monsters, skeletons, ghouls, and ghosts galore.

I hardly had time to go to the bathroom. And I got a second work-out running up and down the stairs from the family room as I tried to watch Oregon demolish USC in football. I'm an OSU Beaver but hey, its USC, so Go Ducks!

Had a great time, but could have done without the Victoria Secret girls -- parents really should know what their teenage daughters are doing at night, especially on Halloween. Sheesh. I mean come on, there are little kids roaming the neighborhood, and it was what -- 15 degrees? And if the girls were 18 I'd be surprised. Thought about calling my friend Lt. Dave but figured Marge probably had him busy passing out candy, and I was definitely too busy passing out candy and running up and down stairs. 47 to 20 Ducks, yahoo!!

Not sure why one group of 10 kids all kept saying Kanishiwah. But, they all seemed to be having a grand time and they got a great kick out of it. Liked the Dad dressed as a caribou the best, pelt, antlers and all. Must have been warm, but a little hard to carry those antlers.

Our neighborhood attracts lots of kids who do not live here. But, it is an easy place for kids to walk, its safe, and it is fun, so what the heck. Reminds me of Halloween when I was a kid. But, parents, 9 PM is the absolute latest that anyone should be ringing our doorbells.

Boo to you!
