Museum Bus Stop: Ron Senungetuk's images on glass suggest reindeer antlers.
To clarify a couple of matters that have caused some confusion: Antony Gormley's 20-foot tall statue scheduled to be erected at the Anchorage museum in April has previously been called “House,” but we’re now assured that the artist is settled on “Habitat” as the name.

Also, while the statue is adjacent to a bus stop, it won’t actually shelter any riders except those who duck between its legs and under its arms — which appears easy to do.

The more traditional bus stop structure will include niceties like benches and feature work by Ron Senungetuk. Senungetuks’ artwork, on glass, is said to reflect corralling reindeer at Wales, suggesting the antlers as viewed from overhead. The images below provide a "tour" of "Habitat" in what are supposed to be more true-to-life colors than seen in earlier representations. Senungetuk’s sketches of his work are seen above and after the images of "House." Er, "Habitat."
