Getting Solar

There are a lot of great tech products out there that take advantage of sun power to keep our gadgets going. Here are just a few that are definitely on my wish list. Isn't Christmas coming soon?

Surge - Solar Powered Skins for iPhones

This is a hybrid solar power charger and a protective phone case. And yes, they come in pink (my favorite color).

Reward Solar Juice Bags

When I first heard about these bags, I thought they were for...juice. They've got back pack, day packs, messenger bags, and totes, all with solar panels to juice up your techie things.

Universal Power Charger/Flashlight

I love products that do more than one thing. This charger can power your phone, gaming device or other small digital items and also serve as an emergency flashlight.

If you're interested in solar powered products not only for the convenience but for the green effect, I found some helpful tips from Planet Green's web site for "greening your gadgets."

1. Charge it With Renewable Energy.

2. Repair it Yourself When it Breaks.

3. Recycle it When it Kicks the Bucket.

The thing about green is that it is not always as easy as you want it to be, but good tips if you're really going for the green.
