Text: On 7/5/2009 at 1323 hours, the Alaska State Troopers issued Will
Talbert Payne II, 64 of WA. a summons to appear in court for Driving
with a Suspended Washington Drivers license after being stopped for a
moving violation. Payne was issued the summons and released on scene.

and Open Container after she gave a 13 year old alcohol. Hull was

Text: On 7/5/2009 at 1740 hours, the Alaska State Troopers arrested
Thomas Bradley Buoy, 52 of Naukati Bay for Felony DUI after being
contacted at the Nuakati Mud Bogs. Buoy was transported and remanded to
the Craig Community Jail.

Type: Vehicle Fire
Text: On 7/6/2009 at 1607 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report of a vehicle on fire at the intersection of Kasaan Road and Goose
Creek. Thorne Bay EMS and Fire were dispatched and responded. David
Hullstine, age 57, of South Thorne Bay was driving his van when the
dashboard became engulfed in flames. Hullstine was able to escape the
vehicle with minor injuries. Thorne Bay fire was able to extinguish the
fire and the van was a total loss.

Text: On 07-05-09 at 2131 hours, the Alaska State Troopers stopped a
1992 Chevrolet Lumina at Seward Meridian and Cottonwood Way in Wasilla
for an equipment violation. The driver was identified as Anthony
Bentley, age 20, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Bentley was
driving without a valid operator's license. Bentley was issued a
summons for NVOL to appear in court at a later date and a citation for
the equipment violation. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

Text: On 07/06/2009 at 0319 hours, Palmer AST contacted Lisa Sheldon,
age 33 of Wasilla, after the vehicle she was operating was stopped for
an equipment violation near the intersection of Parks and Main St. in
Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Sheldon was operating a motor
vehicle with a revoked license. Sheldon was issued a summons to appear
in court at a later date and released. The vehicle was released to a
licensed third party.

Text: On 07/05/2009 at 0132 hours, Palmer AST contacted Kevin Payne ,
age 21 of Sutton, after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for a
moving violation near the intersection of McPherson and Kouppala in
Sutton. Investigation revealed that Payne was operating a motor vehicle
while impaired by alcohol. Payne was arrested and remanded into the
custody of MSPT where he was held on $500 bail. Payne's vehicle was
impounded

Text: On 07/06/2009, at approximately 0036 hours, Alaska State
Troopers contacted 19 yoa,Den Michael Delaney of Wasilla, at the
intersection of Gershmen Lp. and Fireweed Rd. during a traffic stop.
Records revealed Den was operating his vehicle with a suspended license.
Den was issued a summons to appear at Palmer Court. Vehicle was released
to a license driver.

Case number: 09-57887
Type: Warrant Arrest, Probation Violation

Text: On 07/05/2009 at 1215 hours, Palmer AST contacted David Shuldham,
age 37 of Wasilla and Ayshowna Metcalf age 27, of Wasilla after the
vehicle they were driving was reported as a REDDI near49 mile of the
Parks Highway. Investigation revealed that Shuldham had an outstanding
warrant for his arrest in the amount of $10,000 for failure to appear on
the original charge of MICS 4 and Theft 2. Further investigation
revealed that Metcalf was in violation of terms set in her probation on
the original charge of MICS 4. Both parties were arrested and remanded
into the custody of MSPT. Metcalf was held without bail and Shuldham was
held on $10,000 bail plus a court approved third party. The vehicle was
impounded and investigation continues

Location: Sutton
Case number: 09-58153
Type: DUI, Minor Operating After Consuming, Minor Consuming Alcohol
Text: On 7-6-09 at approximately 0552 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to Wright Way in Sutton for the report of an unconscious male
laying in the roadway. Investigation revealed that Ryan W. Greiling,
age 19 of Wasilla, had been driving his 1976 Dodge Truck too fast down
Anderson Way when he lost control and collided with a power pole at the
intersection of Kuehn Way. Greiling then walked from his truck to where
he was located by Troopers on Wright Way. Greiling did not report any
injuries and there was no damage done to the power pole. Damage to
Greiling's vehicle is estimated at $500.00. Investigation also revealed
that Greiling had been operating his vehicle under the influence and
impaired by alcohol. Greiling was arrested for DUI, MOCA, and MCA.
Greiling's vehicle was impounded and Greiling was transported to Mat-Su
Pre-Trial where he was remanded into custody and held on $500.00 bail.

Text: On 7-05-09 at 1640 hours, a 15yoa male juvenile from Bethel was
observed driving his sister's vehicle on the State Highway, in Bethel.

and was issued a summons for NVOL, and was released to his brother.

Text: On July 4, 2009 at 2230 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Bethel

driver's license was suspended. CHIKOYAK was issued a summons to appear
in court.

Text: On July 5, 2009 at about 0100 hours, Napakiak PD arrested James
ANGAIAK, 51, of Nunapitchuk, for operating a boat while under the
influence of alcohol and possessing alcohol in a dry community. Alaska
State Troopers assisted in the investigation and ANGAIAK provided a
sample of his breath with a test result of .084 BrAC. ANGAIAK was
remanded to YKCC.

Text: On July 5, 2009 at about 0100 hours, Napaskiak PD arrested Maxie
EVAN, 42, of Napaskiak for operating a boat while under the influence of

revealed that EVAN has prior DUI convictions make this his 2nd Felony
DUI arrest. EVAN was remanded to YKCC.

Location: Bering Sea 50 miles North of Savoonga

Case number: 09-57378

Type: Agency Assist

Text: On 7/4/09, at 0825 hours, Jean Gabriel Chelala, 27, of France
notified Emmonak State Troopers via satellite phone that he was
requesting rescue due to weather conditions in the Bering Sea. Chelala
is on a round the world expedition and set out from Emmonak on 6/27/09
in a sea kayak bound for St. Lawrence Island and then on to the Russian
coast. Chelala encountered severe weather conditions approximately 50
miles north of the community of Savoonga. The US Coast Guard is flying
a helicopter from Kodiak to the scene to affect the rescue. Chelala was
well prepared for the trip with food and survival equipment and was in
daily contact with his expedition team in France via his website;
www.expedition48north.com .

Type: Driving While License Suspended/Revoked

Text: On 7/4/2009, Alaska State Trooper in Bethel initiated a traffic
stop on a Blue Chevy sedan in Bethel. The driver of the vehicle,
identified as Priscella Chris (age 27 of Bethel), was found to have a
suspended / revoked drivers license. Chris was charged with Driving
while License suspended/revoked and the vehicle was released to a
licensed driver. Alcohol was not involved in this incident.

Type: Assault IV, Probation Violation

Text: On 6/30/09, at about 1220 hours, the Elim VPSO received a
complaint that a 22 year old woman and a 16 year old male had been
assaulted by Aaron Moses. Subsequent to the VPSOs investigation Aaron
Moses, age 28 of Elim, was arrested on two counts of Assault IV, one
count of Violating Conditions of Release, and probation violation.
Moses was transported to Nome where he was lodged on no bail.

Type: DUI, DWLR, Importation of Alcohol, VOCR

Text: On 6/27/09, at about 1520 hours, Nome AST received an anonymous
tip that a passenger at a local airline was importing alcohol to Koyuk
and the same passenger had been observed drinking from a bottle of
liquor and driving away in a motor vehicle. Nome AST contacted Jeffrey
Avery, age 51 of Wasilla, and subsequently arrested him for Driving
Under the Influence, Driving with a Revoked License, Importation of
Alcohol, and Violating Conditions of Release. Avery was transported to
Anvil Mountain Correctional Center where he was lodged on bail.

Type: Violation of conditions of release

Text: On 6/30/09, at approximately 1200 hours, Travis Kaningok, 23yoa of
Gambell, was arrested for violation of conditions of release after
investigation revealed that he was not in the presence of his third
party custodian. Kaningok was telephonically arraigned and released.

Type: Assault III, DUI

Text: On 6/30/09, at approximately 1730 hours, Darren Tom, 29 yoa of
Stebbins, was arrested after investigation revealed that he was
intoxicated and struck a 3 yoa child while driving his four wheeler.
The 3 yoa was taken to Nome via medivac for her injuries and is
currently listed in stable condition.

Type: Assault IV on a peace officer and Assault IV DV

Text: On 7/1/09, at approximately 0630 hours, Jeremiah Apatiki, 23 yoa
of Gambell, was arrested after the Gambell Police responded to a report
of a suicidal person. During the investigation Apatiki assaulted a
peace officer and then assaulted his girlfriend. Alcohol was a factor.

Type: Probation Violation

Text: On 6/30/09, at about 1220 hours, the Brevig Mission VPSO received
a report of a party at a local residence involving alcohol. Subsequent
to the VPSOs investigation Harvey Weyanna, age 23 of Teller, Steven
Topkok, age 22 of Teller, and Robert Rock JR, age 33 of Brevig Mission,
were arrested for Probation Violation. All three were transported to
Nome and lodged at Anvil Mountain Correctional Center with no bail.
Charges pending for Alcohol Importation.

Type: Reckless Driving and Assault 3rd Degree

Text: The afternoon of 7/1/09, Christine Price, age 34, of Dillingham,
reported that a reckless driver operating a 4-wheel ATV nearly struck
her nine year old daughter. The incident occurred the evening before
(6/30/09) on the beach at Clark's Point, near Price's fishing cabin.
The child was not physically injured. The incident is under
investigation by Dillingham AST.

Text: on 07-05-2009 at approximately 1315hrs Sorona Dolph, 36, of Kodiak
reported to Alaska State Troopers (AST) her residence had been broken
into sometime between 07-03-2009 at 1830hrs and 07-05-2009 at 1200hrs.
AST investigation revealed that several personal electronic devices were
taken and cash was taken. The estimated loss is approximately $1,150.00.

Type: Failure to Maintain Vehicle Liability Insurance

Text: On Saturday, 7-4-09, at about 1637hours, Alaska State Troopers
stopped a gray 2003 Volkswagen Jetta on Thorsheim Street for equipment
violations. Subsequent investigation revealed the vehicle was not
insured as required. The driver and vehicle owner 26 YOA Wilber Neftali
Barraza-Ruiz of Kodiak was issued a uniform summons and complaint for
Failure to Maintain Liability Insurance and a citation for Failure to
Wear Seatbelt.

Type: Burglary

Text: On 07-05-2009 at approximately 1350hrs Melissa Freeburg, 28, of
Kodiak reported to Alaska State Troopers (AST) that a residence she was
caretaking on Spruce Cape Rd was burglarized. AST investigation revealed
the residence on Spruce Cape Rd was forced by breaking through a window.
Approximately $500.00 in damages was done to the residence in the break
in. Investigation at this time indicates that nothing was taken from the
residence.

Type: Sexual Assault I

Text: On 7/04/09 at 0650 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Dillingham
received a report from a 23 year old woman of Nondalton that she had
been sexually assaulted by 49 year old Walter Hobson of Nondalton.
Investigation revealed that Hobson had sexually assaulted the victim.
Hobson was arrested and transported to the Dillingham Correctional
facility where he was held on a $10,000 bail. The investigation is
continuing.

Type: Sexual Assault IV

Text: On 7/04/09 at 1135 hours, the Alaska State Trooper in Dillingham
received a report from 48 year old Molly Gatzke, of Kokhanok, that her
five year old grandson had been sexually assaulted by a fifteen year old
boy in Kokhanok. The incident is under investigation.

Location: Denali

Case number: 09-58177

Type: Suspicious Fire - Suspected Arson

Text: On 07-06-09 sometime after 0400 hours, volunteer firefighters from
Tri-Valley Fire Department responded to the Bluff's service area for the
report of a fire. Investigation revealed that a fire started in a tent
storage building used for equipment, air conditioners, doors, lumber,
dryers, and furnishings. A treatment facility close to the building
sustained heat damage. Total loss to Aramark is expected to exceed
$60,000.

The building did not have a power or fuel source. The origin of the
fire is suspicious, and efforts are underway to contact at least four
people that were near the property contemporaneous with the fire
starting. The state Fire Marshall's office has been requested to
determine the precise cause of the fire. The investigation continues.

Type: Theft III, Criminal Mischief IV

Text: On July 6, 2009, at about 2007 hours, AST received a report of a
theft from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Pump House Restaurant in
Fairbanks. Investigation revealed that a purple purse was stolen from a
vehicle between the hours of 1700 and 2000 after the window was broken
out. Anyone with information in regard to this case is asked to contact
AST at 451-5100.

Type: MCA

Text: On 7/4/09 at approximately 0110 hours, AST contacted a suspicious
vehicle, a red 2008 Subaru sedan, that was parked on Whiskey Gulch Beach
Access Road near the Sterling Highway. The occupants of the vehicle
were identified as Olga Kuzmin (age 19 of Homer), Daniel Kuzmin (age 17
of Voznesenka), Neal Reutov-Kuzmin (age 18 of Voznesenka), Philip Reutov
(age 16 of Molalla, Oregon), and Irina Reutov (age 15 of Voznesenka).
Investigation revealed that all five occupants were in possession of
alcoholic beverages, and all occupants except Olga Kuzmin had been
consuming alcoholic beverages. All five occupants were issued summonses
to appear in court for Minors Consuming, or in Possession of, Alcohol.

Type: DWLR; Warrant Arrest

Text: On 07-05-09, at approximately 2105 hours, John D. Love, age 21 of
Nikiski, was stopped by Alaska State Troopers for a traffic violation
near mile 2 Holt Lamplight Rd. Love was subsequently arrested for
driving with a revoked license. Love also had a no bail warrant for his
arrest for failure to appear for a remand hearing for a prior driving
offense. Love was remanded at Wildwood without bail.

commercial fishing patrol via state float plane, Alaska Wildlife
Troopers from St. Mary's issued citations to the following:

Text: On 7-5-09 at 1541 hours the Alaska State Troopers Bureau of
Highway Patrol, South Central Team responded to a 2 vehicle collision on
the Seward Highway at the McHugh Creek Pullout. Investigation revealed
that Alexander Lacroix (41 YOA of Amsterdam) was driving a 2003 Dodge
pickup southbound on the Seward Highway when he rear ended a 2008 Honda
Accord that was stopped to turn into the McHugh Creek Pullout near
Anchorage. The Honda Accord was being driven by Gabriela Aldebot (31
YOA of Anchorage). Both Aldebot and her passenger suffered minor
injuries in the crash and were released on scene. Neither Lacroix nor
his passenger suffered any injuries in the crash. All occupants
reported wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. The damage to
the Dodge pickup is estimated at $4,000.00. The damage to the Honda
Accord is estimated at $3,000.00. Lacroix was issued a citation for
failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision.
