I've run into a few problems with off-leash walks. I do this at the local park when I'm confident there are no people or dogs around for them to annoy. As long as they stay close and come when called, I'm comfortable doing it.

But lately, they're getting a little lazy at the immediate comes. My solution so far is to leash when they don't answer a come and then to start working harder on comes. It's just going a little slow. I'm afraid all I'm teaching them is if I say come, they better ignore me or they're going to get leashed.
