TYPE: Assault 4th (x2)

TEXT: On 6/14/2009, at 2128 hours, Harvey Pitka Jr. age 29 of Angoon was
issued a summons for two counts of assault in the fourth degree. The
charges were the result of an investigation conducted by the Angoon VPSO
after he received a report that Pitka had assaulted one juvenile and
placed the other juvenile in fear of physical injury at the Angoon ANB
hall. Alcohol was a factor. A June 25th.2009 arraignment has been set.

1st degree.

TEXT: On 6/12/2009 Angel Kookesh, age 31 of Angoon was issued a summons
for two counts of Assault 4th degree, one count of Criminal Mischief 3rd
Degree and one count of Criminal Trespass 1st degree. The charges
stemmed from an incident in February of 2009 when the Angoon VPSO
received a report that Kookesh had broken the glass out of a back patio
door, entered a residence and assaulted two adult occupants. Alcohol was
a factor. A June 25th.2009 arraignment has been set.

Type: Death Investigation

Text: On 6/14/09 at 1600 hours, 55 year old Charles Potts of Talkeetna
passed away from natural causes. Comfort One paperwork was on file and
the next of kin was at the scene. Valley Funeral Home responded for the
body, and no foul play is suspected.

Case Number: 09-50148

Type: Suicide

Text: On 06/15/2009 at approximately 0059 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a report of a possible suicide at a residence on Ye Old
River Road in Palmer. Investigation revealed Doris M. Grato, age 30 of
Palmer, shot herself. D. Grato was pronounced dead at the scene. The
State Medical Examiner's Office was notifed and responded to the scene.
Next of kin was notified of the incident and no foul play is suspected.

Type: MVC-D

Text: On 06/15/2009, at approximately 0300 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a single vehicle collision on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway
near the interesection of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and 49th State
Street. Investigation revealed that Timothy L. Tuk, age 28, of Wasilla,
attempted to dodge a constuction cone placed in the roadway and struck a
guardrail. T. Tuk reported wearing his seatbelt and refused medical
treatment. The vehicle was released to T. Tuk and twoed by MTR from the
scene.

Type: MVC-D
Text: On 6-15-09, at about 1139 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded
to the intersection of Dawson Rd. and Tiffany Rd. in Palmer for a
reported two vehicle motor collision. An investigation revealed that
Michael Garner, age 56, of Wasilla, was operating a 2004, Ford Pickup.
A second vehicle, a 2005, Ford Expedition was being operated by Melissa
Boggess, age 35, of Palmer. Garner had pulled his vehicle off to the
edge of the roadway on Dawson Road. Garner then backed his vehicle up
onto the roadway striking Boggess' vehicle. Boggess' vehicle sustained
an estimated $3000.00 in damage. Garner's vehicle sustained minor
damage. Both subjects reported wearing seat-belts and no injuries were
reported. No citations were issued.

Type: MVC-D
Text: On 6/15/2009 at approximately 1325 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a 2 vehicle collision at Mile 51 of the Parks Highway.
Investigation revealed 69 year old Robert L. Wilkinson of the United
Kingdom was stopped facing northbound at Mile 51 of the Parks Highway
while waiting for a vehicle in front of him to turn left. Wilkinson was
driving a silver 2009 Ford Escape. 46 year old Brian Campbell of
Washington State was driving a red 1997 Dodge pickup northbound at Mile
51 of the Parks Highway and failed to stop before rear-ending
Wilkinson's Ford. Wilkinson's Ford had three other passengers and
Campbell's Dodge had two passengers. All occupants of both vehicles
reported no injuries all reported wearing seatbelts. Damage to the Ford
is estimated at approximately $3000. Damage to the Dodge is estimated
at approximately $2000.

Type: Arrest Warrant / DWLR
Text: On 6/15/2009 at approximately 1648 hours, Alaska State Troopers
conducted a traffic stop on a green 1996 Toyota pickup at approximately
mile 3.5 of Knik-Goose Bay Road for an equipment violation in a Highway
Work Zone. Investigation revealed 24 year old Mandy Christine Flaherty
of Wasilla was driving while license revoked. Investigation further
revealed Flaherty had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to
report for remand on the original charge of DUI. Flaherty was arrested,
transported, and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial with no bail. Flaherty
was also issued citations for failure to provided proof of insurance and
another for the equipment violation.

Type: Warrant Arrest
Text: On 6/15/2009 at approximately 1126 hours Alaska State Troopers
conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Parks
Highway and Main Street in Wasilla for an equipment violation.
Investigation revealed the passenger, 48 year old Dennis Lee Noble of
Wasilla had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to satisfy
judgment on the original charge of driving while license suspended.
Noble was arrested, transported, and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial on
$500 bail.

Type: Warrant Arrest: (Original charge Criminal Mischief III)

Text: On 6/13/09 at 0900 hours, the Dillingham Alaska State Troopers
made contact with 21 year-old Mike Hoseth of New Stuyahok.
Investigation revealed that an arrest warrant had been issued for Hoseth
for Criminal Mischief III Degree that originated from a Dillingham
Police Department investigation. Hoseth was arrested and transported to
Dillingham where he was remanded on $2500 bail.

Case number: 09-49909

Type: Assault III, Assault IV

Text: On 6/14/09 at 1130 hours, the New Stuyahok VPSO and VPO responded
to a report from a 23 year-old female that her 20 year-old boyfriend,
Derek Hanson of New Stuyahok caused her pain and injury. Investigation
revealed that Hanson put his hands on the victims neck causing the
victim to be in fear serious injury by strangulation. Hanson was
arrested and transported to the Dillingham Correctional Facility.

Type: Assault IV and Providing False Information

Text: On 6/13/09 at 0929 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a
report that Melissa Savage, age 23, of Kalskag had assaulted a family
member. Investigation revealed that Mellissa had assaulted a family
member. While in contact with the troopers Melissa lied about her
identity but was later identified as Melissa Savage. Melissa was
arrested and transported to Bethel for arraignments. Alcohol was a
factor.

Location: St. Mary's

Case number: 09-49271

Type: Assault II

Text: On 6/12/09, at approximately 1610 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to a St. Mary's residence to conduct a welfare check.
Subsequent investigation revealed the scene of a brutal assault. A
female victim was found in the residence with serious possible life
threatening injuries. The victim was immediately transported by health
aides to the St. Mary's Sub-Regional Clinic. A subsequent man hunt
ensued for the suspect. Eric Paukan, 37 of St. Mary's, was located near
Pitka's Point and was taken into custody by State Troopers after
attempting to take his own life. Paukan is charged with Assault II,
Driving Under the Influence, and Interfering with a Report of Domestic
Violence. Alcohol was a major factor in the incident.

Type: Sexual Assault
Text: On 06/14/09 an adult female in Kotlik reported that she had been
sexually assaulted on 06/12/09. A suspect has been identified and AST
investigation is continuing.

Location: Rezanof Drive, Kodiak

Case Number: 09-49231

Type: Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief

Text: On 6-12-09 at approximately 0355 hours the Kodiak Police
Department was notified by an alarm company of a burglar alarm triggered
at 3833 Rezanof Drive, the Gas & Go gas station and convenience store.
AST was dispatched to that location and found a window had been
shattered and entry had been made into the business. The area entered
was a storage facility for the adjoining business, Mill Bay Coffee.
With assistance from the Kodiak Police Department the building was
searched and no one was found inside. The damage to the window is
estimated at $250.00. It appears that no property was taken from the
business. Evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation is
on going.

Type: Non-Criminal Fire
Text: On 6/11/09 at approximately 1703 hours, Alaska State Troopers
responded to 908 Sargent Creek Road to assist Woman's Bay Volunteer Fire
Department with a report of a residential fire. Investigation revealed
that the fire started for unknown reasons in the laundry room. The fire
spread from the laundry room and fully engulfed the residence shortly
after Troopers arrived. All residents and family members made it out
of the residence uninjured. The residence, owned by Leonard Pickett,
age 41 of Kodiak, is a total loss and no criminal activity is suspected.

Location: Geographic Bay, AK
Case number: 09-47190
Type: Death Investigation
Text: On 6/13/09 at approximately 2246 hours the USCG notified Troopers
that an individual had passed away while driving a skiff in Geographic
Bay, AK. Investigation revealed that David Gibbons, age 66 of Soldotna,
was driving a skiff in Geographic Bay, AK when he suffered a medical
emergency and passed away. The skiff continued until it beached itself.
Another vessel in the area found the beached skiff, Gibbons deceased,
and reported his death to the US Coast Guard. No foul play is suspected
and the State Medical Examiner was notified and the remains were
transported to Kodiak.

Location: Lake Louise Drive, Kodiak

Case Number: 09-48885

Type: Accidental Self-Inflicted Gunshot

Text: On 6-11-09 at approximately 2029 hours Kodiak Police 911 received
a report of a man with a gunshot wound at a residence on Lake Louise
Drive. Emergency Medical, USCG Military Police, and Alaska State
Troopers responded to the residence. AST's investigation revealed that
a 25 year old male resident of Kodiak was apparently attempting to
demonstrate a safety feature of his .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun
when he accidentally fired a round through his left hand. The bullet
passed through his hand and then struck a window in the house shattering
the glass. The man was taken by ambulance to Kodiak Providence
Hospital. Alcohol may have been a factor.

Text: On 06-15-09 at 0945 hours, Alaska State Troopers from Kotzebue
arrested Teddy Roy Barr, 28 of Noorvik, on an outstanding felony arrest
warrant for assault II. Barr was taken into custody without incident
and subsequently transported to and remanded at the Kotzebue Regional
Jail.

Type: Driving Under the Influence

Text: On June 14, 2009 at 0141 hours, Troopers stopped a vehicle for a
traffic violation on the Parks Highway near Cantwell. The driver,
Daniel Bustos, age 42 of Batavia, Illinois, was arrested for Driving
Under the Influence and cited for the traffic violation. Bustos was
transported and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center for DUI.
Investigation complete.

Text: On 6/14/09 A Cooper Landing based State Trooper stopped a vehicle
at mile 40.5 of the Sterling Hwy for a traffic violation. AST
subsequently charged two passengers in the vehicle 19 year old Jordan
Matthews of Anchorage with MCA, and Corey Matthews 22 yoa of Anchorage
with Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor. Both will appear in the Seward Court
at a later date for their charges.

Type: DWLS, VCOR, No Insurance

Text: On 6-14-2009 at 2335 hours, Soldotna AST contacted Chuck Myers,
after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for erratic driving. An
investigation reveled Myers had a suspended driver's license, no
insurance, and was on conditions of release to not drive any vehicle.
Myers was arrested and remanded at WPT without incident.

Text: On 6-12-09 Glennallen Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Michael
Buckwalter (age 32 / Elemendorf). Investigation revealed that
Buckwalter failed to record sockeye salmon on his 2009 Chitna
Subdistrict Personal Use Dipnet Permit before leaving the fishing site
or concealing them from view. Buckwalter was cited into the Glennallen
Court, bail was set at $110.

Text: On 6-14-09, Michael Durtschi 54 YOA, of Girdwood AK, was cited

citation for operating a commercial salmon drift gillnet that was
anchored to the beach in Port Chalmers. Arraignment is scheduled on

Text: On 6/15/09 at 0105 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Dale Anderson,
57 yoa, of Tremonton Utah. Investigation revealed Anderson was fishing in the
Sanctuary on the Kenai River and retained two Sockeye Salmon. Dabkowski was
issued a citation, bail is set at $150.00 in the Seward District Court.

was charged with Sexual Assault of a Minor in the Second Degree (2
counts) and Indecent Viewing/Photography (4 counts) and was subsequently
