All I Want For Christmas Is...

Comments (0) |

The Kindle on Amazon.comThe Kindle on Amazon.comI know, I know, I'm thinking about Christmas early, maybe a little too early, however, my Christmas wish list - while not long - is quite pricey so someone is going to have to save their pennies if there's any hope of seeing these items.

1. An iPhone3G. I can't tell you any other reason why I'd want the latest, greatest iPhone while living in rural Alaska where I won't get all of the latest, greatest benefits, other than the fact that I love my current iPhone and if there's a better one out there, I'll take it! Of course, since I do live in Tok, this doesn't have to be a high priority purchase.

2. The 15" MacBook Pro. I won't be a greedy and ask for the 17" because frankly I don't want to carry around something that big and heavy. So I'll take the one in the middle Longer lasting battery, better graphics, and it is recyclable.

3. The Kindle. Again, I'm coveting a device that will be hamstrung in the rurals of Tok Alaska but only in terms of the quick downloads via wifi. I can still plug it in or just read the gazillions of books and magazines I'll download onto it when I'm in Anchorage.

4. A Juice Bag. When I first heard the name of this bag, I was picturing a drinking device. But the juice bag is an awesome backpack with solar panels to help you juice up your electronics.

5. A Flip Mino HD. I really don't need to upgrade but if I were to get one, I wouldn't refuse it.

6. Nikon Coolpix L100. Again, I am not going for the top of the line, just something in the middle but with 10x zoom, I feel like this camera has that boost that I'd like to have as I continue to take photos in the great outdoors of Alaska.

7. Xantrex Pocket Inverter. I haven't been able to find a car charger for my MacBook but I think this device should do the trick converting 12V from a car charger to regular 115V.

8. Blackbird fly camera. Yes, this is a "professional" toy camera. I read about it in Wired magazine, and it sounded so cool.

9. Spot Satellite Messenger. Traveling around Alaska, this rescue device could come in handy. Even just driving between Tok and Anchorage or Tok and Fairbanks during inclement weather could warrant having one of these on hand. And while we're at it, I wouldn't mind an Iridium Satellite Phone.

10. 3rd Gen Toyota Prius. I love my 4Runner, and I'll probably run it up to 300,000 miles as Toyotas are known for their longevity. But if it is ever within our budget to buy a new car, this would certainly be at the top of my list.

So Santa, that's my little list. Just 11 items for the tech girl in me!

What are some tech items on YOUR wish list?
