Type: DUI
Text: On 05/31/2009 at approximately 2118 hours, Alaska State Troopers
conducted a traffic stop on a white 2004 Ford truck, on the Glen Hwy
near mile 31 for a traffic
violation. The vehicle was also called in as a REDDI (Report Every
Drunk Driver Immediately). Investigation revealed that Kenneth Andrews
(50 yoa of Chugiak), was driving while impaired and intoxicated.
Andrews was arrested
for DUI and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. Bail was set
$2,500.00 cash corporate and court approved third party. The vehicle was
towed by MTR.

Type: Warrant Arrest
Text: On 5/31/09 at approximately 2300 hours Alaska State Troopers
responded to a residence located near 51 mile Parks Highway for a report
of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Tina Papp, age 35 of Bethel had
an outstanding warrant for her arrest for Failure to Appear with the
original charge of Assault 4. Papp was arrested and transported to
Mat-Su Pre-Trial. Bail was set at $750.00 c/c.

Location: Wasilla
Case number: 09-44916
Type: Eluding 1st Degree, Assault 2nd, DWLS, Reckless Endangerment,
MVC-I
Text: On 05/31/09 at 2345 hours, AST observed a motorcycle traveling
north at mile 49 Parks Highway towards Talkeetna , traveling at 75 MPH
in a marked 55 MPH Highway Safety Corridor. AST attempted to stop the
motorcycle which failed to yield for AST and fled north on the Parks
Highway reaching speeds up to 110 MPH. Near mile 91.5 Parks Highway, the
motorcycle slowed down, and attempted to make a right hand turn onto
Lechen Dr. The driver was unable to negotiate the turn, and hit the
ditch causing the passenger to be thrown from the motorcycle and run
over by the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was able to regain
control of the bike and continued to elude AST. The motorcycle driver
eventually drove off the roadway at the end of Lechen Dr., and fled into
the woods. AST was able to locate the driver who was identified as
Eugene Sweeney, age 40, of Talkeetna. The passenger was airlifted to an
Anchorage hospital , were he was treated for minor injuries and later
released. Further investigation by AST revealed that Sweeney was
operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Sweeney was arrested
and remanded into the custody of MSPT where he was held on $5000 cash
bail plus a court approved third party.

Location: Palmer
Case number: 09-45069
Type: MVC-I
Text: On 6-1-09, at about 1305 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to
a motor vehicle collision on Rib Road near Eves Road in Palmer. An
investigation revealed that Krystle Creley, age 24, of Northway, was
backing out onto Rib Road from a private driveway in a 2003, Ford
Pickup. A 2003, Harley Davidson Motorcycle, operated by Victor Snell,
age 55, of Palmer, was traveling east on Rib Road. Creley pulled out in
front of Snell causing Snell to collide with the rear of Creley's truck.
Snell suffered broken bones and was transported to Mat-Su Regional
Hospital where he was being treated. Creley did not sustain any
injuries. Creley was issued a citation for Failure To Yield When
Entering a Roadway from a Non-Roadway. Snell was wearing his helmet at
the time of the collision. Both vehicles sustained approximately
$5000.00 in damage. Creley was also wearing her seat-belt.

Type: Assault 2nd (Domestic Violence), DUI, Refusal, Misconduct Weapons

Text: On 06/01/09 at approximately 0019 hours, Talkeetna AST received a
report that a 25 year old female was pushed out of a moving vehicle near
mile 133 of the Parks Highway by her boyfriend, Kenneth Christenson, age
51 of Wasilla. Trapper Creek EMS responded to the scene and reported
the female had serious injuries to her right leg, right ankle, right
arm, right shoulder and back. Investigation revealed that the female
and Christenson were engaged in an argument when Christenson forced the
female out of the front passenger seat by opening the door and pushing
her out while the vehicle was in motion. The female became entangled in
the seatbelt while the vehicle was in motion causing the right side of
her body to drag on the ground. Christenson eventually stopped the
vehicle, exited and began physically assaulting the female. Christenson
eventually stopped his assault on the female, climbed back into his
vehicle and left the scene. Christenson was stopped by Troopers near
mile 50 of the Parks Highway, approximately one hour after the initial
incident. Christenson was arrested for Assault 2nd DV, DUI, Refusal to
submit to a chemical test and Misconduct Involving Weapons. The female
was treated at MatSu Regional Hospital for non life-threatening
injuries. Christensen was remanded to MatSu Pretrial and held without
bail.

Case number: 09-44394
Type: Probation Violation
Text: On 5-30-09, Troopers from King Salmon and the Levelock VPSO
conducted a probation check on Jolin Apokedak, age 21 of Levelock.
Apokedak was found to be in violation of his probation by having
consumed alcohol and being in the possession of firearms. Apokedak was
arrested at the direction of his probation officer and was transported
back to King Salmon. Apokedak was remanded for these violations.

from Tribal Police Officers in Newtok that a Juvenile 16yoa had

Type: Assault

Text: On May 29, 2009, Bethel AST received information regarding an
assault in Goodnews Bay. Investigation led to the arrest of 40 year old
Galacia Evan of Goodnews Bay. Evan was transported to Bethel where he
was remanded to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center. Alcohol is a
factor.

Type: DUI

Text: On May 31, 2009 at 2:50am, Alaska State Troopers arrested 55 year
old Aaron Johnson of Bethel for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Johnson was stopped for failing to stop at a posted stop sign.
Investigation revealed that Johnson was also operating without a valid
driver's license. Johnson was arrested before being transported and
remanded to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center.

Text: On 6/1/09 at 1200 hours, Rachel Mike 47 yoa of Stebbins, was
arrested in Nome on an outstanding warrant. During the arrest it was
determined that Mike was violating her conditions of release by
consuming alcohol. Mike was remanded at AMCC without incident.

Text:On 6/1/09 at 1300 hours Aniak AST took a report of an assault which
had occured in Shageluk earlier that morning. Victim and suspect have
been identified. Medical attention was not required, and alcohol was
the contributing factor in the assault.

Aniak AST will travel to Shageluk tomorrow to investigate.

Text: On 6/1/09, at approximately 1130 hours Kyle Mike, 25 yoa of
Stebbins, was arrested for probation violation and Interfering with an
official proceeding after the investigation revealed he had threatened a
witness in a criminal case and consumed alcohol in violation of his
probation. Kyle Mike was transported to AMCC.

Type: Criminal Mischief

Text: On 6/1/09 at 0130 hours, Mark Reischke, 55 YOA of North Pole,
reported that at 0034 hours and again, at 0130 hours, 2 locations on the
window of his residence were broken by having rocks thrown at the
window. Damage to the window is estimated at $300. Anyone with
information concerning this vandalism is requested to call the Alaska
State Troopers at 451-5100. The investigation is continuing.

Text: On 05-31-09, at approximately 0127 hours, Alaska State Troopers
conducted a vehicle stopped in the road near 0.5 mile Tustamena Lake Rd.
Glenn Paul Christmas, age 23 of Anchorage, was subsequently arrested for
DUI and Driving while License Revoked. Christmas was remanded at
Wildwood without bail since this is his second DUI offense in fifteen
years.

Type: Criminal Mischief V, MICS IV, Promoting Contraband I

Text: On 5-28-09 at about 1628 HRS AST responded to a residence on
Dolores Ave in Nikiski reference a Criminal Mischief complaint.
Investigation revealed that Jennifer Flyum, 36 of Nikiski, had entered
her ex-boyfriend's apartment damaged items within it then left. Flyum
was arrested for Criminal Mischief V Domestic Violence. While being
remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Flyum was found to be in possession of a
methadone pill; she was additionally charged with MICS IV and Promoting
Contraband I.

Type: Furnishing Alcohol to Person under 21; VCOR; MCA

Text: On 05-31-09, at approximately 1450 hours, Alaska State Troopers
stopped a vehicle near mile 93 of the Sterling Hwy for an equipment
violation. Othoniel Hernandez Jr., age 21 of Soldotna, was subsequently
arrested for Furnishing Alcohol to a Person under 21 after investigation
revealed that Hernandez had furnished alcohol to Colton Joseph Carroll,
age 19 of Soldotna. Hernandez was remanded at Wildwood with a $500
bail. Carroll was issued a summons to appear in the Kenai District
Court for Minor Consuming Alcohol and was arrested for Violating
Conditions of Release related to a previous criminal charge. Carroll
was remanded at Wildwood without bail.

On 6-1-09 Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Steve Sanderson, age 60, of
Cordova and Leslie Armstrong, age 70, of Riverton, WY. for using radio
communication while attempting to take a black bear near Cordova.
Arraignment is scheduled for 6-24-09 in Cordova District Court.

Text: On 5-28-09 at 1330 hours, Constantine Q. Akelkok, 25 YOA of Ekwok AK,
appeared in Dillingham District Court for a change of plea hearing. He plead
no contest to one count of taking/attempting to take caribou closed season and
one count of taking/attempting to take big game (caribou) with a rimfire cartridge
(.22 magnum). He was fined $250.00 on each count.

Type: Take Caribou Closed Season
Text: On 5-16-09, King Salmon AWT cited George S. Taylor, 66 YOA of Ekwok Alaska,
for taking a caribou during a closed season near Ekwok in GMU 17C. Arraignment
is scheduled in Dillingham District Court on 5-27-09 at 1330 hours.

On 5-27-09 at 1330 hours, Taylor appeared in Dillingham District Court and plead
guilty to one count of taking a caribou during a closed season. He was fined
$1500/$750 and placed on probation for two years under conditions of committing
no other fish and game offenses. The meat was donated to local elders.

Text: On 6-1-09 Juneau AWT issued Dennis W. Brown, age 49, of Juneau a
citation for operating a sport Dungeness pot without the proper buoy
markings on it. Brown's gear was initially checked on 5-31-09 near
Spuhn Island. Brown was given a bail able fine of $110.00 and an
optional court appearance date has been set for June 17, 2009 at 0900
hours in the Juneau District Court.

Text: On 5/31/09 Juneau AWT issued Zachary T. Kohan, age 24, of Juneau a
citation for operating his 19' Lund skiff without any vessel

Island. Kohan was given a bail able fine of $60.00 and an optional
court appearance date has been set for June 10, 2009 at 0900 hours in

Case Number: 09-43284

Type: Trapping During the Closed Season

Text: On 6-1-09, 47 year old Clinton Goods of Takotna was cited for
trapping during the closed season. The charge resulted after a grizzly
bear was caught on 5-26-09 in a wolf snare which had not been pulled or
closed when the wolf season ended on 4-30-09. The Grizzly bear was
dispatched by a passerby, and was skinned and seized as evidence.

Location: Talkeetna

Case number: 09-44900

Type: Motor Vehicle Collision - Injuries

Text: On 5/31/09 at approximately 2201 hours, Troopers from Talkeetna
patrol and AST Bureau of Highway Patrol South Central Team responded to
a report of a single vehicle rollover near mile 12.5 of Talkeetna Spur
Road in Talkeetna. Investigation determined Colette Anna Folk age 50 of
Talkeetna, had traveled south bound on the Talkeetna Spur Road in her
1997 Ford F150 pick-up. As Folk entered an uphill curve neat mile 12.5
her vehicle left the roadway and collided with the ditch and after
rolling several times came to rest on the driver's side in the entrance
of a pull out. EMS responded and a Life Med helicopter was launched.
Folk was air-lifted to Providence Medical Center in Anchorage. Folk's
vehicle was a total loss; estimated damage of $3500. The investigation
is ongoing.

Type: DUI.
Text: On 5-30-09 at 2317 hrs, the AST Northern Bureau of Highway Patrol
stopped a 1991 Chevrolet truck for a moving violation. The driver was
identified as Brian K. Gunnels, 51 of North Pole. Investigation
revealed Gunnels was Driving Under The Influence of Alcohol. Gunnels
was arrested and transported to FCC where he was remanded for DUI.
