This is the place to talk about Alaska politics, state, local, national. Public life in the Last Frontier has rarely been more interesting -- a full slate of federal and state elections, the influence of former Gov. Sarah Palin, the usual hardball Alaska politics. Come here for news, tidbits and information, and join the discussion. We encourage lively debate, but please keep it civil and stay on point. From Erika Bolstad in Washington D.C. --
Politico's Playbook is reporting that Gov. Sarah Palin has chosen a ghostwriter for her memoirs.
Palin, "in consultation with superlawyer Robert Barnett, picked Lynn Vincent, the Christian conservative World magazine's features editor, and a bestselling nonfiction co-author from San Diego," Playbook's Mike Allen reports. Allen also notes that Palin has already written 20,000 words on her own.
Vincent most recently collaborated with Ron Hall and Denver Moore "Same Kind of Different As Me," a New York Times nonfiction bestseller described on the Powell's Books website as about "a modern-day slave and an international art dealer" who are "bound together by a dying woman's faith."
Update: Meg Stapleton of Palin's political action committee emailed Sean Cockerham and confirmed the deal, which is now being reported on World magazine's website.
